Equipment

  • Smoker
  • Smoking wood

Ingredients

  • 1 rack baby back ribs
  • 2 tablespoons of Signature Sweet Rub
  • 1 cup of apple cider and apple juice can also be used
  • ¼ cup of dark brown sugar
  • 2 – 3 tablespoons of salted butter
  • ½ cup of BBQ dressing

Instructions

  • You start by pulling out the membrane on the back of the ribs.
  • You can then generously or lavishly relish both sides of the ribs with the sweet rub, but it is recommended that you start from the bone side.
  • Afterward, make sure your BBQ smoker is ready for indirect smoking. And, make sure the BBQ smoker reaches the temperature ranging from 180 – 200 degrees Fahrenheit with thin blue smoke. You can then put the relished ribs on the BBQ smoker and firmly close the lid while the timeframe for the smoking should be for 3 hours.
  • Get a big piece of aluminum foil, tear it off, and put it on a big working surface. You can then move the ribs to the big aluminum foil on the big working surface and it should be bone-side up, this is to not allow the bones to tear through the aluminum foil. Afterward, spray it with the brown sugar, and then douse it with the butter cut into small pads, and pour over the apple cider or the apple juice.
  • Firmly corrugate the aluminum foil together to produce an airtight seal. You can then go back to the grill and shoot up the cooking temperature which should reach around 225 degrees Fahrenheit. Allow the ribs in the aluminum foil to cook for 2 hours.
  • Pull out the ribs from the grill carefully and put them on the large working surface. You can then open up the aluminum foil carefully because of the hot steam. Remove the ribs using tongs and put them back on the grill, bone side down this time. Get rid of the aluminum foil and also the excess cooking liquid.
  • Touch the ribs with your chosen BBQ dressing, close the lid of your grill and set the temperature for cooking to be at 225 degrees Fahrenheit for another hour till the ribs are ready and cooked to your convenient softness, and make sure the dressing stick to the ribs.
