Ingredients

  • 3 pounds of pork butt
  • 2 liters of coke
  • 3 tbsp of garlic salt
  • ¼ cup of chili powder
  • 1 to 1 ½ cup cups of BBQ sauce

Instructions

  • First, you will need to get the crock pot and place the pork into it, then proceed to relish the pork completely with chili powder and garlic salt.
  • Afterward, pour the coke into the crock pot, and make sure it almost covers the pork. However, it does not need to completely cover the pork.
  • You can then proceed to cook on low for 8 hours. But, this is just an estimation, which means it is possible it cooks longer.
  • After that, remove the pork from the crock pot and get rid of almost all of the coke liquid. Leave just a very small amount of it to help keep the pork moist.
  • And, with that being done, you are to place the pork back into the crockpot, then shred the pork using two large forks.
  • Afterward, get the BBQ sauce, then add and mix. I would suggest you add about 1 to 1 ½ cups of the BBQ sauce. This is also to say that you should add the BBQ sauce based on your preference.
  • To keep things hot, you will leave the slow cooker on low or warm heat. This should continue till you are ready to serve.
  • You can also proceed to store any leftovers you have in the fridge, but make sure they are also placed in a sealed container. It should be able to last for five days.
